Did You Know ALL of the ways to benefit SMBC?
Did you know that it is possible to benefit SMBC in other ways than cash donations? Well, you can, and it is not difficult to do so.
One means of benefitting SMBC is through your will. Such a benefit can take the form of a specific dollar bequest, a specific bequest of appreciated property, or a bequest of a percentage of your net estate. Upon your death, that money or property would be paid to SMBC from your estate.
A second means of benefitting SMBC is through the use of a charitable trust. How a charitable trust is that a donor contributes appreciated property to a trust. The property, if necessary, will be sold tax-free and converted into income-producing property. The trust would have to pay SMBC a minimum of 5% of the annual income during your life, and SMBC would receive the property and accumulated income upon your death.
A final means of benefitting SMBC is through the donation of appreciated property such as real estate or stocks. This type of benefit would allow you to take an income tax deduction for the value of that property.
If you are interested in benefitting SMBC through a Will or Trust, it is recommend that you consult with your attorney or tax advisor.
History Changing Lives Since 1963!
But don't take our word for it.. just ask one of the thousands of people who have grown closer to Jesus and built life-long friendships at SMBC!
We currently offier 9 camp sessions begining in early June through early August for campers from 8 to 18 years old. SMBC is also rented to our brotherhood for retreats, meetings, workshops and seminars.
Located in Lawrence County, 4 miles east of Mitchell, IN, on 80 acres of rolling, wooded hills, we have 5 Girls Cabins & 4 Boys Cabins. The newest additions to camp are a 61 space Parking Lot and a large Storage Barn. Our central meeting place, the Orval Roberts Recreation Building, was replaced in 2005 (due to a winter storm). We have a modern Cafeteria with bedrooms, bathrooms, and showers for around 20 staff members. The Nurse's cabin has a large porch area, and a storm shelter below. There is also a large Basketball court (4 goals), tennis courts, and a softball field.
Spring Mill Bible Camp is a ministry of the churches of Christ in Indiana & Kentucky.
